12 NOON – 4:00 PM Apple Pie Contest

Categories: Adult, 17 and under
Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd

Come in to the old Bee & B Fitness building and bid on some great items all in support of the library. There will also be a raffle on an afghan by Ann Watson.

Sing , dance and have great fun with Kraye and Zea of Starcatchers. See Mary's Islanders' great performance dances.
Multiple food vendors including Peelers Potatoes, Smokey's Rib Shack, Cotton Candy 4 You, Mini Donuts, Ralph's Sausages, Jesters Pizza, The Orange Ukulele, and the BRHS Grads BBQ. YOU SHOULD SAVE THE DISHES AND EAT DOWNTOWN!

Interdenominational. All are welcome. Starts at Inglewood
Baptist Church. Ends at Salvation Army Citadel.

Being held at the Bridgetown United Church. For more information contact Judy Whitman at 665-2322.

9:30AM Yoga Day at Simply Being Fun Yoga Studio
The following sessions will be offered at no charge: 9:30am - 10:30am Kriplau Mat Class, 11:30am - 12:30pm Kripalu / Yin Chair Class, 2:00pm - 3:00pm Yin Yoga, 3:30pm - 4:30pm Meditation and Chanting.
Come for the day, or a session or 2. Limited space at the Studio, first come basis. No charge for any session, however there will be a basket for donations to go to local foodbank. Please bring a yoga mat!!

Presentation by Brigadier General the Honourable J.J. Grant, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia.

2:00PM Children’s Parade
This year’s theme is “Barrels of Fun!”
Line up at 1:15 for judging at the Post Office parking lot.
The Children’s Parade will again lead out the Grand Street
Parade and turn off at Washington Street. Individual entries will compete for prizes from Scotia Gift Baskets.

2:00PM Grand Street Parade
Parade Marshalls – Mayor Bob Fowler, Councilors Anna Allen and Jim Thurber, and CAO Darrell Hiltz
Marshalling prior to 1:00PM on the Bay Road and judging to take place from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Route - goes east on Granville Street from the Bridgetown evelopment Centre, along Granville Street and ends at Bridgetown Regional High School.
Trophies awarded in several categories.

3:30PM Rubber Duck Race
Riverfront, Jubilee Park
$700 in prize money
A fundraiser for the Bridgetown Cadet Corps
Tickets $5.00 for your favorite duck
Tickets available through the Cadets and at the Bridgetown locations of Valley Credit Union, Scotiabank, Royal Bank and End of the Line Pub.

4:30PM Cardboard Boat Regatta
Riverfront, Jubilee Park
No entry Fee
Categories – 10 to 13 age group; 14 to 18 age group ; Open category
Trophies and prizes available for all age groups as well as best dressed crew and best looking boat. All entries should be at Jubilee Park by 3:30pm

7PM - 10:30PM, Ciderfest Hunger Games: Fight Hunger
For ages 12-18

Can you survive the Cornucopia? Find out and then watch the Hunger Games movie! We'll be playing some fun Hunger Games-inspired games and then screening the film. Help end hunger in your own community by bringing an item for the local Food Bank. Held at the Bridgetown Legion Hall.

The local Terry Fox Run will take place at Bridgetown Regional High School on Sun. Sept. 16th from 12-3PM.  Register and get more information at www.terryfox.org or pick up registration forms at Endless Shores Books, 67 Queen St., Bridgetown.

3:30PM The Vernon Dakin Family Car Rally
Bridgetown Regional High School
Cars, drivers and navigators should be on site by 3:30 to register
$10.00 entry fee per car
Info will be provided on where to start, where to finish, where you can go and where you can’t. Free barbecue for all participants at the finish line.
